Pool Openings
Seahorse Discount Inc. can have your pool sparkling clean and ready for the summer.
We will:
- remove, clean, and store the pool cover.
- summerize the filter and pump.
- lubricate O-rings, attach filter pressure gauge, replace skimmer baskets.
- replace filter and pump plugs.
- add D.E. to filter.
- attach all hoses.
- install hand rails/ladders in pool.
- remove plugs from skimmer and returns.
- remove Aquador™ plate from skimmer.
- add shock and algaecie.
Customers are responsible for draining water from the cover, removing debris, and filling pool to operating level prior to service.
Pool Closings
Seahorse Discount, Inc. will close your swimming pool in a professional manner.
We will:
- remove all drain plugs from the filter system and heater.
- store all plugs from the filter system in the pump basket inside the pump.
- remove and rinse the D.E. off the filter and grids.
- store the grids inside the filter and replace the lid on the filter.
- winterize the heater according to heater style.
- remove all eyeball, jet and cleaner fittings from the pool and store together in the skimmer basket.
- empty and clean all baskets.
- clear all return/skimmer pipes of water and plug off the pipe using the winter plugs you provide.
- plug the drain off at the skimmer or air lock the valve according to your system.
- remove any handrails and ladders.
- place the ladder bumpers and escutcheon with the skimmer basket.
- add five gallons of liquid chlorine and one gallon of winterizing algaecide to your pool.
- fill water bags and place the cover securely on your pool.
- make sure your pool is properly winterized and secure for the winter months to come.
Winter plugs will be stocked on the service truck in case your plugs cannot be located. Water bags will be stocked on the service truck, for purchase, in case they are needed to secure the cover properly.
